A client from here in Gainesville recently contacted Sound Depot and Performance for some help with an audio system upgrade in his 2013 Dodge Challenger. Although the client has been a customer of ours for years, he’s always done his own installations. He decided that he’d save himself some time by having us install the equipment in his Challenger.
We installed a set of Hertz Hi-Energy HCX690.4 6×9’s in the front doors and 6.5-inch HCX165.4 coaxial speakers in the factory locations in the rear of the car. We set him up with a pair of Memphis Car Audio M610D4 10-inch subwoofers and a vented enclosure to reproduce bass frequencies. The system is powered by a pair of five-channel Kenwood XR900.5 amplifiers configured as three-channel amps. We added a MESA battery and a battery isolator so he’ll always be able to start his car.
The client was thrilled with the work we did and loves the way the system sounds. If you are looking for an audio upgrade for your muscle car, drop by our store, give us a call or send us an e-mail using our contact page.
