A repeat client of ours from Gainesville, FL, brought his beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle to us for a subwoofer upgrade to add bass to the vehicle. He wanted more bass in his music while keeping the size of the subwoofer upgrade to a minimum.
Adding a subwoofer to a vehicle also requires adding an amplifier, but his desire to save space in the trunk limited our choices. We chose the all-in-one JL Audio ACS110LG-TW1-powered subwoofer that houses the amplifier, enclosure and subwoofer in one compact unit.
This 10-inch subwoofer in a sealed box does a good job of delivering great-sounding bass for his audio system. The built-in 400W Class-D amplifier powers the subwoofer well, and the quick-disconnect plug allows him to remove the enclosure quickly if he has to haul a large item in the trunk.
