A Gainesville client visited Sound Depot and Performance in search of a speaker upgrade for a 2012 Chevy 1500. The client wanted clearer sound and a little more bass in the truck. We had a listen to the factory speakers and then showed the client two Hertz Dieci upgrade options that would make his audio system sound much better.
After removing the factory speakers from the truck and applying a layer of MESA Mat sound deadening to the doors, we installed a set of Hertz DCX165.3 coaxial speakers. We added a set of Stinger Roadkill Fast Rings to help channel the output of the speakers into the interior of the vehicle. We upgraded the rear speakers with a set of DCX460.3 4×6-inch drivers.
The combination of proper sound-deadening and high-quality speakers gave the client the performance he wanted. His music was much more detailed and the clarity improved greatly.
