Gainesville Client Keeps Camaro Looking Good with Paint Protection Film

A longtime client of Sound Depot and Performance in Gainesville recently stopped by the store to talk about Camaro paint protection film and window tint options. He wanted to protect his awesome new ZL1 from stone chips and scratches while reducing the amount of heat that enters the vehicle. We brought the car into our dust-free window tinting bay and began with a thorough cleaning of the windows. While preparing the car, our computer-controlled film plotter was busy cutting the CR40 tint film for the four side windows and the rear window. We double-checked each piece of film to ensure that the fit was perfect before applying a slip agent to the window and putting the film in place. We finished with a final pass with a squeegee and a thorough inspection to make sure each piece was perfect.

Also known as a clear bra, the paint protection film is a durable, transparent film that we apply directly to the paint surface to protect it against scuffs, scratches and chips from rocks, gravel and sand. We applied SunTek Clear to the front bumper, the hood and the front fenders. We also applied the film to the fog lights, headlights, the door edges and the door handle cups. The door treatment helps protect these areas from scratches from jewelry, fingernails and bumps against other vehicles in parking lots. As you can see from the photos, our technician took his time to ensure that each piece of film was bonded perfectly to the paint surface for a seamless look.
