Hertz Marine and Powersports Audio
We are always on the lookout for new products, so we took notice when this prestigious brand entered the marine and powersports market. We’ve finally had a chance to audition these speakers in our store. We overpowered them, abused them and did everything but hit them with a hammer. They passed every test with flying colors and sounded great!
The new Hertz marine speakers are available in two sizes with two cosmetic designs. The marine series features white baskets with a white grille. The powersports series features black grilles with a silver mesh insert. Both series of speakers come in 6.5-inch and 8-inch models.

Performance Features
Without getting overly technical, our product selection process always involves a thorough investigation of technologies and features. We look for proper environmental protection to prevent fading and damage from intense UV exposure. All four speakers include a completely water-resistant design, so getting muddy, splashed, rained on or hosed down is no problem.
These Hertz speakers’ design includes several performance features. Instead of being mounted on a post that extends through the middle of the woofer, the tweeter is attached to the grille. Placing it in this location increases the surface area of the woofer for better performance and eliminates the need for additional waterproofing components.
Hertz has done a great job of including technologies that ensure these speakers will handle all the power we feed them. High temperature vented voice coils on the woofers, high-efficiency tweeters with neodymium magnets and silicone-insulated tinsel leads are just a few of the advancements that will keep these speakers playing year after year.
