Rigid LED Lighting
Rigid LED lighting is probably the single biggest improvement in lighting technology in the last 50 years. They combine American-made, military-grade manufacturing with torture-tested materials that will give you a light that will outlast your vehicle. Here is a link to one of their torture tests:
One of the greatest things about LED lighting technology is the ability to give you greater, more-focused light with a clarity like natural sunlight, in an almost limitless variety of designs. We have lights to replace the factory fog lights on many vehicles. We have LED lights in round, square and the ever-popular light bars.
Replacement LED Lighting
We also have replacement LED lighting for headlights and fog lights on many popular vehicles, giving you more light output in a color much closer to natural sunlight. The benefit to you is much better night-time visibility. If you have a vehicle that uses a 7” round headlight, say a Jeep as an example, we have DOT-approved replacement LED headlight systems that not only look incredible, but provide performance that is off the chart. They are more efficient as well. Since they draw much less current than incandescent lighting, LED lights exert a much lighter load on your charging system.
Light Mounts
Light mounts are becoming a bigger and bigger need as people wake up to the benefits of adding more lighting to their vehicles. Sound Depot and Performance carries a wide selection of mounts designed to fit lights onto your bumper or windshield. If you own a Jeep, we have mounts for your bumper, hood, hinges and windshield so you can light up that field like Fourth of July fireworks! Our fabrication team can also make custom mounts for your lighting needs – if an off-the-shelf part is not available, we can make it in-house for you.
HID Lighting
HID lighting is a very popular upgrade for replacing factory bulbs in headlights and fog lights. Unfortunately, most of the products available are flea market-grade and have horrible reliability. The good news is that we have done the research for you and have found reliable HID lighting products for you.
We also know the ins and outs of getting them to work well with your stock electrical system. Our installation standards for HID lighting are the highest in the industry. We see many installs come through our bay that just leave us shaking our heads. We securely mount all of our ballasts, use dielectric grease on all of our connections, and loom and secure the harnesses, giving you a factory look. This technology lighting comes in several different heat ranges or “colors.” It is rated in Kelvin (k), and goes from 4 k all the way up to 12 k. As you move up the Kelvin scale, the light emitted goes from white to light blue, to intense blue, to purple. If you want maximum visibility at night, we suggest staying in the 5–6 k range.
Halogen Lighting
Halogen lighting is still a popular option for many people and we sell all the hottest brands, like Piaa, Hella and KC. This technology is less expensive, so, for many people, the value is unbeatable. Many of our halogen systems use Extreme White technology to give you a white, more natural light than a normal halogen bulb. We have this technology available for headlight and fog light replacement bulbs as well.
Colored Accent Lighting
If you have ever sat in a vehicle, noticed colored accent lighting and liked the look, Sound Depot and Performance can do that for you as well. We will place LED lighting strategically, in the color of your choice, in key areas to give your interior or exterior a vibrant new look.
