A client from Ocala, Florida, brought his 2010 Can-Am Spyder to Sound Depot and Performance for an audio system. He mentioned to a friend that he wished he had an audio system in the Spyder. His friend suggested we would be more than capable of helping. We worked with the client to determine his needs and settled on the JL Audio SlamPak system.
The SlamPak includes a set of M770-CCS-SG-TB 7-inch component speakers, an 8W3v3 8-inch subwoofer and an XD400.4v2 amplifier. The SlamPak includes a set of custom speaker enclosures that mount on either side of the instrument cluster. We created a mounting plate for an MBT-CRX Bluetooth controller on the left corner of the dash. The controller serves as the source unit for the system.
The subwoofer enclosure mounts in the front storage compartment and includes trim pieces for two vent holes that allow the bass to exit the otherwise-sealed compartment. The amp fits nicely on top of the enclosure.
We also installed a Memphis LED Kit with 10-color changing LEDs to provide some added styling flair.
