Easy To Use Controls
The first thing you will notice about this unit is the “knob.” It has a good old-fashioned control knob that you can easily find and control while bouncing through the woods on a side-by-side or over some choppy waves in your boat. Unlike with a button behind a waterproof membrane, you won’t have to look down to see what you are doing. The rest of the buttons are easy to find, and the chrome metal trim and gloss front finish out the solid appearance of this unit. It fits in a standard gauge opening, so it will give you a factory-installed look, and it has marine-rated water resistance from the front.
Flexible Audio Sources
From a feature standpoint, this unit gives you tons of flexibility as your only source unit in any type of alternative installation. It starts with a built-in AM/FM tuner and, of course, Bluetooth for all of your streaming devices. It also has the flexibility to tie into a rear-mounted auxiliary input, as well as a rear-mounted USB input that will give you a signal input and charging capabilities for your devices. A 39″ USB extension cable is included in the box.
Power And Audio Options
This unit packs an impressive 25 watt x 4 RMS (50 watt x 4 peak) into its cup-shaped amplifier on the back side of the unit. Need more power? It also has two pairs of pre-amp outputs for a multi-amp system. Scrolling through the modes on the front and using the control knob will give you access to a menu full of audio options to fine-tune your sound with complete balance and fader as well as bass, treble and loudness compensation.
