Qi-Certified Wireless Charging
Smartphones like the iPhone 8, X, XR and XS and the Galaxy S6, S7, S8 and S9 include Qi-certified wireless charging solutions. These phones, and many others, have a charging coil built into the back of the phone that allows you to charge the device using a wireless inductive charger like the Scosche UQ01.
The UQ01 provides 10 watts of charging power and supports Fast Charging for Apple and Samsung devices. The base also includes foreign object detection, so leaving a traditional smartphone, your pocketknife or loose change on top of the charger won’t result in those objects heating up and becoming a potential hazard.
Scosche UQ01 Custom Installation Options
The UQ01 comes with a universal flush-mounting bezel that our technicians can use to mount the device inside or on top of your center armrest. For a custom look, we can flush the charging base into the forward storage area of your center console. We will take care of making all the necessary wire connections to ensure your charger turns on automatically when you start your vehicle.
The UQ01 comes with two MagicPlates that attach to the back of your phone. These mounting plates include compact neodymium magnets that will secure your phone to the charging plate, making it safe to operate your vehicle.
Scosche includes an LED indicator on the side of the charging plate to let you know which mode the device is in. When the LED is green, the charge is in standby. A blue light indicates that the system is charging your phone.
