Recently, a Gainesville, Florida, client contacted us to add a subwoofer to their beautiful 2013 Audi A4. The client wanted clean, loud bass without giving up much trunk space. Sound Depot knows a thing or two about clean bass.
After spending time discussing the client’s goal, we recommended the very clean and very loud JL HO110rg-w3v3 high-output speaker system with a JL Audio XD300-1v2 300 watt amplifier. The JL subwoofer cabinet hosts a 10w3v3 that was designed to get the best sound and most output from this particular speaker.
To make sure the client’s new amp got the cleanest signal possible, we also suggested the AudioControl LC2i and the ACR-1 bass remote control. The client approved the estimate, so our highly trained staff got to work.
The first thing we did was install the amplifier and processor in the rear access panel. This panel is used to access the brake lights and also houses the factory amplifier. It was a perfect location to house the new subwoofer power station. Once the power and connections were finalized, we simply mounted the JL Audio subwoofer enclosure and tuned the system. It sounded amazing!
