Recently, a repeat customer brought us his 2011 Chevy Camaro convertible for a technology upgrade. The client had replaced his head unit in the past but really wanted to get the Apple CarPlay capabilities. While the vehicle was here, we discussed the newest dash integration option for replacing the factory stereo in his Camaro. Once he saw the all new Best Kits RPK5-GM4101, he knew that this would be a much better option then his previous dash kit.
The all-new kit includes the interface harness to retain all of the factory safety features, such as steering wheel audio controls, backup camera, Onstar and safety warning chimes. The kit also uses the factory climate control buttons, making this interface the best-looking integration device for the 2010–2015 Camaros.
To go along with his new integration kit, he choose the Kenwood DDX9903S. This head unit provides the CarPlay functionality he was looking for, allowing him to control his phone’s navigation with the new touch panel, along with voice-controlled texting and ultra-fast music control.
As you can see from the pictures, this new technology upgrade gives this car a great-looking and hi-tech aftermarket stereo system. From the pictures of the previously installed kit, you can see how much better the new kit looks.
When the client arrived to pick up his new Camaro, he was a very pleased with the new look and new technology that Sound Depot and Performance was able to provide.
