A client from Newberry came to us with a very unique vehicle. He had a 1966 Ford Bronco that he had nick-named “Crazy Horse!” This vehicle came with no stereo or speakers but our client wanted some tunes while cruising around in his very sweet ride. We spent some time going over the various classic car audio options and auditioning some gear with the client.
After some time listening to different components our client decided to go with a Clarion M303 marine radio which we mounted out of sight under the seat. We mounted the wired remote control in the dash so that he could easily control the sources and volume. For speakers, we went with the brand new Audison Prima line. We mounted these in custom speaker pods in the kick panels. This provides great sound and utilizes an otherwise unused area of the vehicle. We also installed a pair in a custom enclosure between the seats.
The system melded a great audio system and new technologies like USB and Bluetooth into a half century old classic! Did we mention that it sounded amazing as well? At Sound Depot and Performance in Gainesville, we take on most any challenges and love working on classic car audio upgrades! To learn more, please stop in, give us a call, or Contact Us today!
