Polaris Rangers are becoming more and more popular. They are a great vehicle for tooling around the farm, or managing your property. Everyone knows outdoor fun and music go hand in hand, that’s what brought this Bell, Florida client to visit us at Sound Depot and Performance. The client was interested in a simple but great sounding audio system.
The source for audio in this Ranger will be the client’s phone or portable music player. To grab that signal we installed an input jack right next to a JL Audio knob that will control the volume of the stereo. The signal then goes to a Memphis 2 channel SA series amplifier. As you can see in the picture these things are tiny, but put out BIG power. The best part is, they don’t take much power to do it, so they are a perfect fit for recreational vehicles. The amplifier sends the sound then to a pair of Memphis MXA 6.5″ coaxial speakers. The speakers were mounted in custom fabricated, completely waterproof, enclosures. The enclosures tuck up high in the roof, out of the way.
The resulting system was simple, yet had plenty of output. If you own a Polaris Ranger, or similar vehicle and are interested in adding or upgrading the audio system, give us a call, contact us, or stop by our facility.
